Native animals abound in the subtropical and open bushland.
These images were all taken in the Yeranda Wildlife Refuge.

A small rainforest snail Helicharion insuetus. 
This animal is at an evolutionary point somewhere between a snail and a slug. Its entire body cannot be retracted under the protective shell as with a true snail.
