Elouera
Elouera is a three bedroom rock and timber cottage nestled among tall grey gums and iron barks. It is a bush cottage with all the comforts of a modern home. A large kitchen with ceramic top stove with fan forced oven, microwave and large fridge/freezer makes it ideal for groups of up to six people. There are two queen bedrooms and a twin single bedroom.
It is open plan with dining and living spaces flowing on from the kitchen. Elouera is heated with a slow combustion fireplace for winter and an air conditioner provides cooling if necessary in summer.
The cottage caters for guests with mobility limitations, having a bathroom with hobless shower, shower seat and grab rails for the toilet. The veranda deck is also easily accessed from a wheelchair.
There is a small library of books and guests are welcome to bring their own to exchange with others in the collection. Being situated in the bush, there is no mobile or TV reception on site but a stereo, small TV and DVD player is provided for entertainment along with a range of games and jigsaws.
The veranda is a great place to sit and take in the view or watch the birds as they drink and bathe at the bird bath. A gas bbq and outdoor fireplace is provided for cooking and general relaxation. Firewood is provided, along with kindling and firelighters however we generally advise against outdoor fires over summer. Elouera also boasts a very popular outdoor shower and a 'loo with a view'. Yeranda is a 140 acre bush property with numerous walking tracks for guests who want to explore. A small pool on Nalleeghee Creek is a great place to cool off during the warmer months.
